An 8-step walkthrough takes you from "why PQC?" to a full sign-and-encrypt round trip.
Quick start
Generate your first keypair
Try a Pure PQC primitive — the ML-KEM key encapsulation mechanism.
StartIssue your first PQC certificate
Generate a CSR with ML-DSA-65, then issue a certificate signed by the demo CA.
StartSign and verify with CMS
Use your fresh certificate to sign a payload, then verify it.
StartEncrypt and decrypt with CMS
Wrap an AES content key with an ML-KEM-768 recipient key.

Capability snapshot
The backend is unavailable — capabilities can't be loaded. Check that the service is running, then reload.

What is the PQC Playground?
The PQC Playground is a free, hands-on Post-Quantum Cryptography lab from Digitalberry. Generate ML-KEM, ML-DSA and SLH-DSA keys, issue X.509 certificates from a demo CA, and sign or encrypt with CMS — straight from your browser, with no account and nothing stored.
Also known as a PQC Lab, it implements the NIST post-quantum standards (FIPS 203, 204 and 205). Every step produces a real cryptographic artifact you can inspect, download and re-verify with the OpenSSL command line.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the PQC Playground free?
- Yes. The PQC Playground is completely free, anonymous and ephemeral — no sign-up, no email, and nothing is persisted on the server.
- What is the difference between a PQC Playground and a PQC Lab?
- Here they mean the same thing: a sandbox to experiment with post-quantum cryptography. "Playground" and "PQC Lab" both describe this hands-on environment for learning and testing PQC.
- Which post-quantum algorithms are supported?
- ML-KEM (FIPS 203), ML-DSA (FIPS 204) and SLH-DSA (FIPS 205), across key generation, certificate issuance and CMS signing and encryption.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Everything runs in your browser against a hosted backend built on OpenSSL 3.6. You can reproduce every artifact locally with the openssl CLI.
